Registered Psychologist
Merran became a registered psychologist in 2024. Merran completed her provisional psychology internship at LCIW from 2022 to 2024, following her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) in 2020.
She provides psychological support to adolescents and adults experiencing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, and has a particular interest in trauma-related difficulties, such as interpersonal conflict and attachment issues.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Additionally, Merran has completed accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is now offering EMDR therapy to her clients. Merran hopes to soon complete Schema Therapy Training.
Merran has experience working with LGBTIQA+ and adult neurodivergent populations. She has co-facilitated the Cool Kids Anxiety Management Group alongside Psychologist Enza Querin. When Merran isn’t at LCIW she works part time at a mental health facility running psycho-ed and skills-based therapy groups. Merran also volunteers with a cancer charity, providing emotional support to survivors and their families.
