Clinical Psychologist
Agatha is a Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist, and Board Approved Supervisor with over 20 years of experience. She has worked across a wide range of public and community settings, including mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as in areas like disability, and trauma therapy services for sexual assault, domestic violence, child protection, and foster care. She offers therapy across all life stages—individual therapy for adults, children, and adolescents, as well as family and relationship therapy.
Agatha works with a variety of clinical presentations, including mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, parenting challenges, emotional and behavioural issues in children, relationship issues, separation and blended families, workplace difficulties, and life transitions. She also provides clinical supervision to psychology students and practicing clinicians, with a focus on supporting their professional development and reflective practice.
Her therapeutic approach is relational, flexible, and eclectic, tailored to clients’ unique needs and background. She utilises various evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT, attachment-focused and mindfulness-based interventions, informed by polyvagal theory. She also utilises family systemic approaches including Bowen, narrative and Internal Family Systems, motivational interviewing, and creative play-based approaches when working with children.
She has a deep commitment to helping individuals and families gain greater self-awareness, be more thoughtful and less reactive and improve communication. She considers it a privilege to be part of her clients’ journey towards insight, resilience, and a more meaningful life.
