Registered Psychologist
Enza Querin is a Registered Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society with over 25 years of clinical experience. Enza commenced her professional career within the NSW Department of Health in 1985. There, she provided Diagnostic and Assessment Services to children suspected of having developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2000 Enza moved into private practice where she has been providing psychological counselling and therapy services to children, teens and adults.
Enza enjoys supporting her clients navigate life in ways which bring meaning and personal fulfilment despite the challenges that inevitably come with it. She strives to form a collaborative relationship with her clients and uses an integrative approach which draws upon evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which is recognised by the World Health Organization as a gold standard treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Enza sees clients who present with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem difficulties and parenting concerns. Enza has a particular interest in working with autistic clients/clients on the spectrum of autism and with those who are struggling with the impact of trauma or adverse life experiences.
Being of Italian heritage, Enza’s awareness and insight into cross cultural issues has been a valuable asset in her work. Enza also enjoys group work and is thrilled to be offering the Cool Kids Anxiety Management group programme at LCIW.
Enza’s session fees are claimable through Private Health Funds and Medicare rebates are available for clients who have a current GP Mental Health Care Plan.
